Pennhurst Data Center

In September 2025, East Vincent Township received a proposal to build a large data center and a tire burning plant on the grounds of the former Pennhurst State School.

PMPA drafted this open letter and read it before the East Vincent Township Planning Commission.

The history is extremely important and should not be erased and replaced with an AI data center that would also cause further damage to the world's future.

Pennhurst needs to be preserved as a memorial to the voiceless and most innocent of our society. Save some of the buildings as museums and make a memorial park, anything else is a disgusting insult to the fragile lives who lost their freedom there.

What happened? The haunted house is bad enough but at least they cared enough not to sell.
